So, when I saw that the cars from Mad Max: Fury Road are coming up for auction at Lloyds on September 26th, I had to take a look. Today, Mad Max Rockatansky might be wrangling dirt down Fury Road, but the original last of the V-8 Interceptors has earned its comfy place in the air conditioning. Immortan Joes twin-V8 Cadillac, Furiosas War Rig and the Doof Warriors Wagon are all available. The behind the scenes making of Mad Max: Fury Road starring Tom Hardy and Charlize TheronIt showcases some amazing stunts from George Millers movie.Synopsis. Mad Max’s Interceptor: Staying true to the Mad Max franchise, the lead character played by Tom Hardy is seen with his black 1974 XB Ford Falcon Coupe. It's fitting, then, that the actual cars and trucks being driven are just as violent in their design and appearance as the world they exist in, over the course of Fury Road's "one big chase" storyline. Just like any other pension-ready Floridian, the Interceptor wears it creases and battle scars earned over a lifetime of work. Turns out the Gigahorse, the dual Cadillac-bodied monster truck, was really powered by a functional 1,200-horsepower V16. The majority of the Fury Road trailer footage released to date has been excerpts from scenes of Joe's cronies and their vehicles - such as the Nux Car that is driven by, appropriately enough, the deranged Nux (Hoult) - crashing through mounds of sand, flipping over, colliding, exploding, and/or getting sucked up into gigantic dust storms. A Fleet of 'Mad Max' Cars Are Being Auctioned Off: PHOTOS Home Transportation A whole fleet of 'Mad Max: Fury Road' cars including Max's Razor Cola and Furiosa's War Rig are being. Rounding out the cast are such actors as Nicholas Hoult ( X-Men: Days of Future Past) playing one of Joe's thugs, while the women under the care of Furiosa and (in time) Max are played by the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley ( Transformers: Dark of the Moon), Riley Kenough ( Jack & Diane), and Zoë Kravitz ( The Divergent Series). Charlize Theron co-headlines Fury Road as Imperator Furiosa, a warrior who rescues several of the women enslaved by Immortan Joe - a warlord played by Mad Max (1979) star Hugh Keays-Byrne - and eventually teams up with Max, on a mad dash to escape Joe's henchmen and take shelter in Furiosa's old childhood home. Of course, Mad Max: Fury Road took the apocalyptically stylized cars of the franchises first three films and doubled down on aggressive bodywork, insane engine combinations, and even motorcycles, excavators, and dune buggies.
